About Homeflair

Homeflair has been serving customers in Yorkshire and across the UK for a number of years. Like many independent furniture retailers, we faced serious difficulties during the Covid-19 pandemic of 2020 and 2021. Global supply chains collapsed almost overnight. Shipping containers were stranded at ports. Manufacturers in Asia and Europe faced factory shutdowns. Lead times that were previously measured in weeks stretched into months, and in some cases products we had sold became unavailable entirely.

During that period, we let some customers down. Delivery timescales we quoted were not met. Communication was slower than it should have been. We have read the reviews customers left during that time and we understand the frustration. Being charged for a product and then left waiting with no update is not acceptable, regardless of the circumstances causing the delay.

We have learned from that period and made significant changes to how we operate.


What Has Changed Since 2020

Since 2021, we have restructured how we manage orders, stock information, and customer communication. Specific changes include:

  • Stock accuracy: We no longer list products as available unless we have confirmed stock or a reliable delivery window from our supplier. If a product is on a lead time, that lead time is stated clearly on the product page.
