A three seater sofa bed is the one to choose when the sofa is the main sofa in the room and the bed has to be a real double. Ours are sofas you would be happy to sit on every evening, with a bed inside that guests will thank you for.

Three seater sofa beds are the sofa beds for living rooms and large spare rooms. Between 190 and 220cm wide closed, they seat three comfortably, and they open to a standard double of 135 to 140cm, wide enough for a couple to stay for a long weekend. Because they are full-size sofas, they are built on the same frames as our static three seaters and are comfortable as sofas first.

Our three seater sofa beds come in fabric and leather, from quick-delivery ranges and from made-to-order British collections where the sofa bed matches the rest of the suite, so the main sofa in the lounge can hide a bed without looking any different from the two seater beside it. Every one uses a real sprung or high-density foam mattress on a pull-out or fold-out frame, not seat cushions laid flat, and every mechanism opens in one movement without the sofa being pulled from the wall.

The open size is the measurement most people forget: a three seater sofa bed needs about 220cm of clear floor from the back of the sofa when extended, and the product page lists both the closed and the open dimensions. For a bed that will be slept on most nights, choose the sprung-mattress pull-outs; the firmer click-clack styles suit occasional guests. We state the mattress type and thickness on each product.

Fabric is the usual choice for a sofa bed in a living room, in a tight weave or a high rub-count chenille that copes with daily use and the mechanism; leather suits a study or office that doubles as a guest room. Order free swatches from any product page, or try the mechanisms on the floor at our Rotherham showroom, open seven days a week. UK mainland delivery is free with our own two-person team, lead times for made-to-order sofa beds are confirmed before you commit, and Klarna lets you spread the cost.
